Doesn’t look like there was many of you, but for those who did attend the cancelled Nottingham gig, the following e-mail I recived today from Crimea manager Paul Flanagan may be of interest to you. Read [More] to find out why the band never turned up.

Hi Christopher

Regarding your message on the site about the Nottingham gig. I would like to make it clear that the situation was entirely out of our hands. We received a call in the afternoon from our booking agent explaining that the promoter had made an error and another band were contracted to play support that evening. We were already on the motorway, heading up to play the gig. It certainly wasn’t a case of just not turning up. We value our fans and would not want to disappoint any of them in any way. This is an extremely rare occurrence and one that I hope is never repeated but was obviously beyond our control. As you aware, I have already made the guest list offer to the fans affected by this and I am glad to see that the number of fans affected by this wasn’t huge, although as far as we are concerned, even one disappointed fan is one too many.

Best wishes

Paul Flanagan
