pip pip,

On the eve of our tour, and in the heat of the moment, we forgot to tell you
we won the Pop Factory Award – the one we were nominated for ‘Best New
Talent’. Thanks to everyone who voted, we’ve no doubt that some of the
greatest riggers and hackers in the world are on our friends list. Good
work, the lot of you.

No one was more surprised at bagging the gong than Joe and Owen who were
there reprazentin’. So convinced were they that Jarcrew were going to win
(Owen even voted for them), they were getting stuck into the free grog when
the name was announced. Owen got up and thanked the Darkness (?!?) and the
Pope and made an embarrassing drugs reference in the interview afterwards.
Apologies to all right-thinking fans and parents – particularly Owen’s -

Enough yacking, here’s some news:

Our new single, Baby boom, is out this week. It’s available in good and bad
record shops, on-line at amazon etc and at gigs. There’s two tracks. Both
brilliant works of art. It’s worth buying – quite cheap, good artwork,
interesting sleeve notes, doubles up as a mirror etc. What more could you

There’s more live shows. Here they are:

November 28 Glasgow Barrowlands (with Echo And The Bunnymen)
November 30 Shepherds Bush Empire (with Echo And The Bunnymen
December 3 London Barfly (with The Killers)
December 12 Builth Wells, Wales (can’t remember where, sorry)
December 17 The Enterprise, Camden (our Christmas party – more details to
December 19 Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff (Boobytrap Christmas Party)

That’s all for now. Keep ckecking for more interesting

See you at one of the shows or in a record shop maybe – each band member’s
been sent out around the country to buy up our stock. If we’re not number 78
with a bullet, Davey’s getting sacked.
