Disclaimer: The Crocketts are not The Crimea. The Crimea’s current biography is here, come back in a few weeks for a proper one. This is one up for the Crox fans still about. I’m gonna pack it in while I still can, so get one of ya last doses of Crox material right here before it’s blown into oblivion (well, a couple clicks away). Yes guvna, Melanie May (rock photographer extraordinaire, I’m sure) has a bunch of the rowdy rockers up on her website www.melaniemay.com. It includes all manner of things involving a special Phonic’s appearance and what looks like a bit of cross-dressing from a once religiously worshiped plank spanker.

> The Crocketts are not The Crimea
They just sound remarkably similar.
Speaking of bands which sound similar to others, the new Keys single is nothing like MTH. It’s also bloody atrocious, but that’s by-the-by…
"Dawn Of Man" is great, though.
what’s the new one?
dawn of man’s alright, love closed to sin.
heard rumours of all three playing a gig together. admitedly, i made them up, but still… it’d kick more ass than a pissed mule.
They’ve released "From Tense To Loose To Slack", but it isn’t the album version and is backed up by three installments of poorly-recorded folk rock.
The second riff from "Dawn Of Man" sounds remarkably Wildhearts-ish…
Hopefully "Shoot ‘Em In The Head" will get a release soon. Becky said the plans are in the works for an album, so fingers crossed.
>>poorly-recorded folk rock.
don’t dis the cow-punk, man. at least the single has a cool name.
>>Shoot ‘Em In The Head
the number of time’s i’ve muttered that to myself…
I know this isnt really relevent to what your talking about but is there a chance that The Crimea will be at Beautiful Days again?
try asking on the message board, more chance of people seeing it there.
denyer - d’you know how to open saf files without knowing what the password is? i’ve got a couple of crox ones on a channelfy barfly sessions cd but it wont let me play em without downloading some weird stuff, but that’s not downloading cos the company who made it no longer exists :o\
