The Crimea wait for buses (and other lame metaphors)
Ahhh the ole buses, how I loath thee. So I’ll make it quick, I’ve got about 50 gig listings to do :0|

Subject : The Crimea wait for buses (and other lame metaphors)
This music game is a little like (brace yourselves for a hackneyed cliche…) waiting for a bus to turn up. You’re there for ages, nothing shows up, and then all of a sudden a Ferrari whisks you away on the greatest journey of your life.
For five weeks we’ve been at home half-heartedly toiling away on new songs, getting mad at management and doing anything to kill time before we killed ourselves and each other. Just before we lost hope completely a gift was handed from the Gods and it was like the best Christmas present you’ve had multiplied by a 100. We’re hitting the road, boys and girls. We’re hitting the road BIG TIME.
We can announce TODAY that we’ve been picked as support to Billy Corgan in the US. BILLY FRICKIN’ SMASHING FRICKIN’ PUMPKINS FRICKIN’ CORGAN!!!! It’s been a bit DISARMing, to tell the truth. Just don’t go shooting BULLETs WITH BUTTERFLY WINGS in celebration. ‘Cos that wouldn’t be cool.
Here’s where we’ll be playing with him TONIGHT, TONIGHT (but on the dates marked, obviously):
22 June – Earthlink Live, Atlanta*
24 June – 9.30 Club, Washington
25 June – Electric Factory, Philadelphia*
27 June – Webster Hall, New York
28 June – Webster Hall, New York*
30 June – Avalon, Boston
2 July – The Carlu, Toronto*
5 July – The Vic Theatre, Chicago
6 July – The Vic Theatre, Chicago*
7 July – The Pageant, St Louis
8 July – Gypsy Tea Rooms, Dallas*
11 July – Soma, San Diego
12 July – Henry Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles*
13 July – Henry Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles
15 July – The Filmore, San Francisco*
16 July – The Filmore, San Francisco
18 July – Moore Theatre, Seattle*
19 July – Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver
(*marks the dates where we will be the MAIN support)
The dates with Billy Corgan unfortunately means we will NOT be appearing at Glastonbury, T In The Park, Oxegen or Guilfest. We ARE, however, appearing at the READING/LEEDS festival on August 26-28. You see what we mean about buses?
To warm up for this exciting stuff, we’ll also be getting excited (and hopefully exciting you) at these places:
June 5 – The Charlottte, Leicester (on at 8.30)
June 11 – Barfly, Cardiff (on at 8.30)
June 16 – The Gallery, London
June 17 – The Coopers Arms, Aberystwyth
June 18 – Merthyr Tydful (venue tbc)
We won’t hang about and bore you with the details – they’ll all be on www.inaudible.co.uk/crimea very shortly.
We’ll hopefully see you on the road. It’s long, winding, spans two continents and passes a festival. What a splendid feat of engineering!
Lots of Love
