Dearest friends and allies,

It’s been a long road (13820 miles, in actual fact), but we’ve made it back from the US and Canada relatively unscathed. Naturally, there were handbags at dawn, burn-out and extreme tiredness. We can, however, declare it an unmitigated success and that we had fun. Good, clean, wholesome fun. Really, charades at 4am on the RV is something to treasure. A hoot and a holler, no less.

Not a band to rest on our modestly sized laurels (we have small asses), we’ve decided to bring the US fury back to blighty. All the stops will be pulled and it’ll come with a health warning and a guarantee: Die of sonic pleasure, or your money back*. Put this in your diary NOW:

11 August – The Gallery, Leytonstone, London

After this pre-emptive strike, we’ll be taking it out on the road. Pay attention to these, too:

21 August – Barfly, Cardiff (a semi-acoustic set for Jack Daniels)
24 August – the Coopers Arms, Aberystwyth
25 August – Bar Academy, Birmingham
26 August – Leeds Festival (Carling Stage 1.05pm)
27 August – Reading Festival (Carling Stage 1.15pm)

(Check for all addresses/stage times/directions etc)

There are also some MySpace goodies coming your way. The more observant will have already noticed an acoustic recording of some new songs. The clairvoyants among you will also know that we’ll finally be unleashing ‘The Crimea: Live At St Louis’ in a couple of days. Keep checking – Davey’s blog will keep you more than entertained in the meantime.

So that’s all for now. With all this news we have surely spolied you.

Lots Of Love,

The Crimea
