hey hey,

just a quick note to let you know that the second half of our infamous St Louis mash-up is now on our media player. Swoon at Andy N’s ethereal guitar intro to Baby Boom, wow at Andy S’s organ ‘imrpovisation’ at the end of it, and be frightened by Davey’s screaming on ‘Someone’s Crying’. It’s all there. In all its magnificent/dubious/awe-inspiring glory.

We’ve also one last UK festival before we pack up our tents and put them into storage for another year. Once more, we’ll be fending off the British weather here:

9 September - Bestival, Isle Of Wight, UK (the JD Set Lounge at 9.30pm.)

Needless to say, we’re all shocked and horrified by the destruction Katrina has wreaked on the US’s Gulf Coast. It’s difficult to sum up the sense of sadness we feel when we see one of our favourite cities in such a desperate state. We’ve played in New Orleans, partied in New Orleans, have close friends in New Orleans… we absolutely f***ing love New Orleans. If any of you have friends/familly etc in the city or surrounding areas, we sincerely hope they’re ok. We wish The Big Easy a speedy recoevery and, rest assured, we’ll be pitching in (somehow) if we possibly can.
