To the Light Brigade,

We’re half way through our first proper tour of duty. It’s been enormously encouraging to see so many of you turn out and lend support to the cause – thanks very much. We can now officially report that we’ve played to a ‘crowd’ in Liverpool, that we’re almost as big as Craig David in Manchester and that the next Cardiff date will probably be in the castle. If you’ve yet to brave the cold to be warmed by our sonic sunshine, there’s still plenty of dates left (check below for details). For all the frontline action, set your browsers to Davey’s blog on MySpace or the Tour Diary (in the ‘About Us’ section) on the official site (links below)

Actually, we lied. The next Cardiff date will not be in the castle. It’ll actually be in Clwb Ifor Bach this Sunday. We decided to forego our day off to headline the ‘Boobytrap is Five’ night. Boobytrap, you’ll remember (or not), is the label that released Baby Boom originally. Great friends of ours, lots of great work for charity etc. It’ll be an excellent night, come down and throw some cake about.

The onset of Christmas can mean only one thing: our annual festive/acoustic shindig is fast-approaching. It’ll be the usual caper at Camden’s Enterprise on Wednesday 21st December: mucho drinking, musical carnage and your favourite songs played quietly with quiet instruments. Tickets are now available for purchase, directly from The Enterprise with a credit card. Here’s the number: 0207 485 2659.

Not content with one Christmas gig, we’re also appearing at the Club NME night at KOKO on Friday 9th December. You can get tickets here.

We’ll also be streaming the full ‘Live in St Louis’ set on very soon. Keep checking for some stadium rock action from the Billy Corgan tour.

That, as far as we can remember (the short-term memory’s gone, so that’s not saying much), is it.

Hopefully see you on the ever-extending, ever-bending road that probably won’t even get us home for Christmas.
Lots of love

The Crimea.
