So much Crimea news, so little time to post it. I don’t really know what to do with it all. Seriously, if you’ve got the time to spare and would be able to code up news posts in the same format as below (basically just recreating reviews, or adding links to them in posts) then get in touch. Otherwise I might implode when LWOA gets released. Best news right now? ITunes. Check it out for the free single of the week.
I mentioned below about Warners trying to shut down music sites. Well here’s one I won’t complain about: who have blatently ripped off most of the lyrics from this site. Obviously without permission from myself (whom I may add had no permission in the first place anyway :o P ). Careful on the site though, it screams spyware. And deffinately don’t use that form to contact them. might work though :o )

As you say, it’s not like they’re your lyrics, even if you did listen and type ‘em up… share the information, would be my view. It all serves as publicity to get people listening to and buying the music.

Do you typically get sent links to reviews, or do you have a set approach to googling for them?

I normally don’t mind, actually I found another site with much the same stuff on at the same time as lyricsmania. Difference is, the other one gives links not only to the crimea’s site but mine aswell. they’re just publicising the band. lyricsmania are using the work as their own, no credit or links whatsoever, and it took me ruddy ages to write them all out. meh…

mostly google. i’ve got a bookmark folder full of ones i’ve not added yet. every now n then someone sends a link but it’s usually about major stuff like the itunes thing. and as far as copying the reviews here, yeah i know it’s kinda the same thing but i only do the crimea related stuff, which is usually a tiny part of their site, add credits and links, and only do that because more often than not they dissapear from the original sites and it’s nice to have them all in one place where they’re searchable :o )

If you send me a bunch of links, I’ll RegEx it into HTML you can cut’n'paste, or I can try to remember the login to the news CMS.
