Dearest ladies, dearest gents,

We’d bugged you so much around the release of Lottery Winners that we decided to lay off the inbox a little. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that… Anyway, we’re sure you’d have heard by now (we’ve been slurring the news to anyone who’ll listen for the past three weeks) that Lottery Winners On Acid reached number 31 in the charts. Thanks very much to everyone who went out and bought the single. We’re over the moon, so a million doffed caps to you all.

In the e-mail onslaught, I’m sure it hadn’t escaped your attention that we’re hitting the road in earnest over February and March. It’s Cambridge tonight, but there’s more… way more… in the next few weeks. Check the dates below to see if we’re coming anywhere close.
It’ll be a spectacular evening as Andy N has managed to blag Pink Floyd’s lighting rig for ?20 a day. Sadly, he hasn’t managed to blag Pink Floyd’s road crew. The light show will be amazing, but the five of us will be struggling manfully with hernias and bent backs. And, just so you know, the Kings College date is very, very close to selling out.
If you were thinking of getting tickets, we’d do it now. Or, at least, once you’ve stopped laughing yourself stupid from this classic mail-out. Erm, right…

We’ll also be hitting some shops to play a few tunes to the folk who’ve come in to buy Glen Miller. Come along, sing along and show these hapless punters what it means to have REAL taste in music:

1/2/06 Davids, Letchworth, 12.30pm
26/2/06 One Up, Aberdeen, 1pm
28/2/06 Avalanche, Glasgow Norm, 1pm
1/3/06 Concept, Durham, 12.30pm

We also have some new t-shirts for sale. We’ve nicked one each and have never looked cooler. Check them out here.

The album has also had a bit of a re-jig. It might look a little different (a little cooler, we’d like to think), but it still sounds orgasmic. If you haven’t managed to track down a copy yet, now’s your chance.

So that, we reckon, is that. At least for now. The tour diary (on www.thecrimea.net) will be up and running, as will Davey’s blog (on MySpace), so be sure to check how we progress on our latest assault of the British Isles. It’ll be ugly. It’ll be amusing. But most of all, it’ll be triumphant.

See you out there soon, hopefully.

Lots of love
