>>unless we're buying bits of plastic with grooves scratched into them?
>hehehe... yeah, silly CD/DVD fans, get with the times already :oP

...that we're then expected to stick needles into. Lasers, fine -- they can be focused weakly enough to not cause the media to degrade after a few plays.

I don't mind *listening* to vinyl, scratches and all, but it's an exceptionally crap way of procuring a hardcopy of songs, different dynamic range or not.

> err..... yeah, unfortunately still drm'd i believe

It wasn't, or at least wasn't to the extent I couldn't get a DRM-less equivalent out of it. That could be the reason the download is missing, I suppose.

As far as I know there's no skip in this one:

http://virtualdebris.co.uk/temp/chris/15-The%20Crimea-Out%20of%20Africa%20(non-album).mp3

...it's just that I accidentally deleted the Apple MP4 file after I did it. :-

So... The Ballad of Seichi Taniguchi is iTunes-only, unless we're buying bits of plastic with grooves scratched into them? This is not a good way to keep fans -- CDs are good, everyone can play the things, and there's no worry about keeping MP4 files backed-up. CDs have been around a long time for a reason.

Still, at least it *is* for sale in a non-vinyl medium. Suppose I'd better go and find out if Apple have produced a less bloated version of their client app.

http://downloads.7digital.com/downloads/crimea/clicktracks.asp

The link appears to be broken, and the WMA is DRM'd to the eyeballs.
