THE CRIMEA

8 Down, 3 To Go

Colin MurrayYou know the deal. Colin Murray, another Crimea album tune, tracklisting after the jump.

French website and Crimea fans Sound Of Violence post news of the new album. It may say it’s great, then again it may say it’s shite. I ain’t got a clue cos it’s all in French and I defy anyone to understand the language. À cette même! Believe.

English Crimea fans Comfort Comes had album news a few days ago, but it’s dissapeared now. Google’s cache, while it’s available, or just hit more.

Everyone’s using Vox right now. Confuses the hell out of me; bring back Audiogalaxy groups I say. Anyway, at least someone’s posted about the Crimea on there. Yup, you guessed it, more album news.

Here’s details on one of the tour gigs from Norwich Arts Centre. More tour news coming very soon; if you’d signed up to the mailing list you’d already know :)

The Crimea – Amazing new record

I never really rated The Crimea before – although ‘Lottery Winners on Acid’ was fun – but having heard a pre-release copy of their new, self-financed album ‘Secrets of The Witching Hour’ , which comes out in June I am a convert. Actually forget that I am now an EVANGALIST.

It’s a bit early to say it’s my ‘album of the year’ but damn is it good. Its almost hilariously over-ambitious, they made it in Latvia of all places ‘cos it was cheap and it sounds like a band who have been told its the last time they’ll ever be allowed to make a record so they’ve chucked in everything idea they’ve ever had. It could be a recipe for a self indulgent mess but it’s just brilliant. Honestly, I’m blown away, its a fabulous piece of work, fantastic lyrics, great arrangements, you must check it out.

A breathtakingly original record.

The bit in French just says it’ll be available as a free download after a the date mentioned.

Light Brigade rocks. Unlike the new Wildies album, which I’m finding a bit lacklustre…
