MERTHYR GIG CANCELLED

Just heard news that the Merthyr Gig (scheduled for 18th June) has been cancelled. The exact reasons why are a bit sketchy - but irate local councillors feature somewhere. The band would like to apologise to anyone that made plans to make the show. They are still, however, playing the nearby Cardiff Barfly on the 11th of June (this Saturday)

A Short Outage In Service…

Son: Dad, can we get broadband?
Dad: Sure.
Son: :oD You’ll need to cancel the (horribly slow 56k) dial-up account.
Dad: Ok :o)
Son: But DON’T do it before our new account’s been activated ;o)
Dad: Okey dokey.

Needles to say, I’m not too surprised that I’m now without internet access until BT care to activate ADSL on out telephone line. So for the time being (7-10 day, hopefully) I’m gonna try and hand over to a few other people to keep you up to date. So if there’s suddenly a few posts without swearwords in it, I haven’t joined the church or anything. Of course, they may never figure out how to post news here, so if there is none for a while then I’m sorry, normal service shall resume ASAP.

‘Ang On A Minute

Did someone say “Reading”?!? Ooh yes… The Crimea finally make it to the two biggest festivals in the UK, the Reading and Leeds Carling Weekend festival. Check out the currently confirmed lineups on the Reading and Leeds websites, further details of The Crimea’s appearance will be up on the gigs page soon as I hear anything.

Album & Gig Info

UPDATE: I’ve just been told that support for the Crimea gigs in Aberystwyth and Merthyr Tydfil will be provided by the only decent new band I’ve heard for a long time, the most excellent Midasuno. And lucky me is back home 200+ miles away. Oh cruel, cruel world…
Tragedy Rocks US has made number 2 in About.com’s Top 9 CDs of June 2005. Though I don’t know if they’re listed in any particular order, if they are then they beats the Backstreet Boys & the Foo Fighters :oD as if you ever doubted they would :oP They also have the release date as June 14th. Now that you can doubt.
And more gig details are up, sorry that some are sold out already, but there’s plenty more that aren’t.
